I work as a scientist at the University of Illinois. I enjoy ultraracing to stay fit. Wild Card training rides are a favorite treat. Racing highlights: 2011/12 season: podiums in all 200+ mile ultracycling races, with an 8:47 course record at Metamora 4x50; 2012/13 season: 3:11 Boston Marathon and 3d at Race Across America (RAAM) on a two-man team; 2013/14 season: 10 full Ironman triathlons with a 10:44/6th in age group, 19th in world ranking; 2014/15 season: a super randonnée series leading to the 1230 km Paris-Brest-Paris in 57:50 (7th/430 Americans), and USAT All American; 2015/2016 season: RAAM solo Master’s 50-59 winner; 2016/2017 season: 1st at Croom Zoom 100k run, and 3d with 100 miles in 17:53 at Houston Running Festival; 2017/2018 season: Badwater 135 qualifier.
